7 favorite quotes from Bollywood Interviews
From Vishal Bhardwaj to SRK, I've shortlisted some of my quotes from many many interviews I love
I watch an unhealthy amount of interviews on YouTube so that you don't have to, bringing you the best :p
I’m that person who clicks on the clickbait, if A actor said something spicy about B actor on Bollywood Hungama, I will watch that 30 min interview to find that 15 seconds portion.
But, I also watch some of the most insightful interviews and before we go into them I’d like to recommend some of my favorite interview series
Sit With Hitlist by Mayank Shekhar
Yearly Roundtables of Rajeev Masand
Slow Interview by Neelesh Mishra
Unfiltered by Samdhish
Film Companion
Lallantop Adda The Bombay Journey
Vishal Bhardwaj talking about the creative process of an artist
No matter what kind of an artist are you, a comedian, a musician, a painter, a creator or whatever art your pursue, when you think of a fresh piece of art, your mind tries to think of ideas you have seen, which you might not even remember consciously.
Often ideas that work the best are the ones which are not first thoughts but something you’ve thought of. And in the era of social media, it’s very easy to accept the first thought you have, in order to stay relevant and consistent. Watching this interview reminds me to be fresh with whatever I do.

Zoya Akhtar talking about her first film
Film Companion used to have this amazing series where directors came and spoke about how they made their first films. Maneesh Sharma spoke about Band Baaja Baraat, Ayan Mukerjee about Wake Up Sid, Dibakar Banerjee about Khosla Ka Ghosla and it’s just full of gems. One of them is this interview where Zoya also mentioned the heartbreak she felt after her first film didn’t work, but she was confident because she knew it was a good film. And then she made ZNMD, rest is history.

How is it possible that we make a list of the best quotes from interviews and we don’t include Shah Rukh Khan in it. At this point, I can pay to PVR if they release a compilation of his interviews in a theater.
